Here are some features available in version 17.
Ripple Fill Stitch Effect
A new fill stitch pattern called Ripple Fill is now available. Contour lines can be applied to a fill stitch shape to create a ‘ripple’ effect stitching pattern that runs throughout the shape. As you edit the contour lines the rippling with vary.

Printed Barcode JobSheet
A new .fom file has been added to the Ethos Folder which contains a Barcode facility. The Barcode can be scanned in using a hand held scanning device attached to certain embroidery machines, this will speed up the loading process whilst also ensuring the correct design is selected.
Piping Stitch with Pattern
The Piping Stitch effect has been enhanced to allow stitch patterns to be created and assigned to it.

Customisable Font Category
The Font Category feature allows users to create their own Satin Font categories and add fonts to them.

New Fonts
There are 5 new satin fonts.

Name Drop
The Name Drop Feature has been enhanced so that 3 different file formats – ISI, DST or ZSK can be created & saved to a chosen folder.
Running Line with Satin Stitch Branches
When inputting a Running Line effect it is now possible to add Satin stitch branches. This is a very useful feature when digitising more complex designs.

Auto Insert Points
There is a new tool in the Points menu – Auto Insert. This can be used with Running, Satin and Fill stitch outlines. It allows a number of points to be automatically inserted either before or after a selected point. There is also an interactive tool that allows you to simply point and click where you would like additional points to be placed.
Insert Corner Points
This tool can be used to insert 2 x pairs of points on Satin stitch corners. The placement of these extra points allows you to control the direction of stitching into the corners.

ApS-Ethos Version 16
Here are some features available in version 16.
Emblems Tool - Blends Category
The new Blends category within the Emblems makes easy work of blending colours. There are 4 blend effects in two styles. The single colour blend has graduated stitching in a single colour to give the impression of a graduated effect. The 3 other effects allow you to blend, 2, 3 and 4 colours together.

Layers Tool
Layers is a great new tool for editing complicated designs. You can place your digitised outlines or blocks of stitching in individual layers. Each layer can be hidden or locked, this makes the editing of complex designs much easier as you can lock or hide everything except the layer you are working on, so no more accidental moving or deleting the wrong thing.

Running Line Text
Try one of our three running line fonts. You can assign a standard running effect or a running line pattern for something special.

Freehand Running Line Input
The freehand digitising tools is great for line work and ideal if you use a tablet and pen.

Satin Width Tool
With the new satin width tool you can say goodbye to uneven outlines. Select any satin stitch outline file and enter the width required.

New Fonts & Monograms
There are 7 new satin fonts, 5 new monograms and a number of existing fonts have had additional punctuation and foreign character added.
Badge Maker Tool
The new badge maker tool allows you to create appliqué and stitched badges quickly and easily. The simple wizard walks you through the whole process giving you the option of creating one badge or filling the frame.
